ByMCK is a Chicago-based residential interior design and decorating company run by us, husbands Mat and Clay. After years of talking about launching our own design company, we decided to do the thing and combine Mat's creativity with Clay's business savvy.

Owner & Chief Creative Officer
Mat
Chief Creative Officer Mat spent over a decade designing a range of events in Chicago including luxury weddings, large corporate galas, birthdays, mitzvahs, and more.
Mat is fearless in his approach to creativity. Whether it’s moody colors, unexpected patterns, or fun textures, he helps clients break out of their comfort zones to create one-of-a-kind spaces.
Mat’s event design work has been featured on WGN Chicago and in magazines Modern Luxury, Chicago Style and Meetings & Events.
Owner & Chief Executive Officer
Clay
Chief Executive Officer Clay is the business veteran who keeps ByMCK running. He brings 10 years of business management and marketing expertise.
After years of managing multi-million dollar client portfolios and leading global programs for Fortune 500 companies, he ensures projects are structured, communicated, and delivered on time.
A writer at heart, Clay is also the editor-in-chief of the Bold-Curious blog.
Chief Snack Officer
Kylo
Kylo is ByMCK’s CSO: Chief Snack Officer. He curates our rotating string cheese collection, delectable assortment of bully sticks, and the occasional hand-selected fruit.
Between naps and neighborhood surveillance, he also offers unsolicited feedback on fabric swatches and access to free belly scratches.
